The "Maya Kural Kathai" program was held on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, between 10:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. at the Children's Section of the Anna Centenary Library. Mr. Amalarajan, a renowned Origami artist and Ventriloquist, was the distinguished resource person for this unique event. The program commenced with a welcoming address and introduction of Mr. Amalarajan by Dr. A. Manikandan, the Librarian and Information Assistant. The core of "Maya Kural Kathai" was a fascinating blend of origami and ventriloquism. Initially, Mr. Amalarajan demonstrated origami by transforming colorful papers of varying sizes into a finished crow. To make this interactive, the children were divided into five groups, each provided with papers to follow Mr. Amalarajan’s instructions and create their own paper crows, which were subsequently displayed.

Mr. Amalarajan also patiently addressed the children's queries and offered tips for refining their models. Adding a magical touch, he then employed his ventriloquism skills to make the paper crow "speak." The session further included the creation of other animal models. The energy and engagement of the young participants were palpable as they enthusiastically practiced the origami techniques. The "Maya Kural Kathai" truly came alive when Mr. Amalarajan introduced his puppet, moving around and engaging the children directly. The puppet posed thought-provoking questions that the children eagerly answered, captivating the entire audience.

This blend of origami and storytelling left a lasting positive impression on the young minds. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mr. Baskar R., Librarian and Information Assistant. A total of approximately 104 children were present for this enriching experience.
