A special storytelling event titled “A Cup of Kathai” was held as part of the ‘Kodai Kondattam-2025’ series, featuring two esteemed resource persons, Ms. Kausalya Pari and Ms. Padma Priya Suresh. Mementos were presented to the guest speakers as a token of appreciation. Dr. Mohanathan, Librarian, introduced Ms. Kausalya Pari, who began the session by captivating the children with an engaging story featuring jungle animals. She skillfully incorporated memory training techniques and emphasized environmental awareness, making the session both educational and entertaining. In the second part of the programme, Mr. S. Manikandan, Librarian, introduced Ms. Padma Priya Suresh, who led a dynamic, interactive session on story formation. Using a set of randomly selected words, she guided the children in constructing sentences and ultimately weaving them into a cohesive story. Her approach made the process of storytelling enjoyable and accessible, encouraging children to develop their own creative narratives.
The event concluded on a joyful and enthusiastic note, leaving a lasting impression on all participants. Dr. A. Manikandan, Librarian, proposed the Vote of Thanks. The event was attended by over 70 children, who actively participated and thoroughly enjoyed the sessions.
