The event titled “Literary Experiments” was conducted by Mrs. Vijayarani Biju who served as the resource person. She was honoured with a memento by Dr. K. Kousalya, Librarian. Mr. S. Manikandan, Librarian formally introduced to the resource person.
The session focused on stimulating creativity and descriptive thinking through two main activities: Image Description and Character Description. Children described unseen images based on verbal clues and matched personality traits to imaginary characters. The interactive segments also
included guessing games and identifying characters based on vivid verbal descriptions.
One key activity was a group storytelling exercise that began with the prompt: “பச்சை பசைலென்ற அடர்ந்த காடு… அங்சக……” (“In a dense green forest... there...”), which allowed the children to contribute ideas and build a story collaboratively, encouraging creative expression and imagination.
The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks delivered by Dr. A. Manikandan, Librarian. The event was attended by more than 20 enthusiastic children, who actively engaged in all activities.
